Djelfa: the equipment depot and the quarry on the RN1 axis
SARL ETAHG keeps its heavy equipment at a depot in Djelfa and produces its fine aggregates at its own quarry and stone crushing plant, Carrière Djellal El Gharbi at Oued Sdeur near Aïn El Ibel, south of the city. Djelfa sits on the High Plateaus at around 1,100 metres, on the RN1 roughly 300 km south of Algiers, which puts the machines and the material within reach of projects to the north and to the south.
01The depot
What is at the Djelfa depot
The depot is the home base of the road-building fleet: hydraulic excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, vibratory rollers, the asphalt paver, the bitumen distributor and bitumen tankers, trucks and tipper semi-trailers, the surface rock drill used at the quarry and the truck-mounted water well drilling rig. Machines are parked, serviced and prepared for transport here between projects; loading on semi-trailers, convoy preparation and the hand-over of rented machines also take place at the depot.
Spare parts for the heavy-duty diesel engines come from the group company EURL KAYLE KENNY in Algiers, so that a machine leaving Djelfa is supported from inside the group. Visits to see the categories of equipment can be discussed when a rental or a subcontract is in preparation.

02The quarry
The quarry and crushing plant at Oued Sdeur, Aïn El Ibel
South of the city of Djelfa, in the commune of Aïn El Ibel, SARL ETAHG operates its own quarry and stone crushing plant, Carrière Djellal El Gharbi at Oued Sdeur. The plant’s crushing and grinding machines produce high-quality fine aggregates for concrete, asphalt and the granular layers of roads and platforms, and are especially suited to projects that require high production rates. Material is loaded onto the company’s own trucks and tipper semi-trailers for delivery; delivery or collection at the plant are agreed per project.
The quarry has its own telephone lines, +213 660 36 75 50 and +213 660 36 75 51, and a fax, +213 27 90 46 13, for supply enquiries and deliveries; the group number +213 558 96 10 49 and contact@etahg.com reach the company for everything else.

04Terrain
The High Plateaus around Djelfa
The wilaya of Djelfa lies on the High Plateaus, the wide steppe between the Tell Atlas to the north and the Saharan Atlas to the south, with the Ouled Naïl range rising around the city. The country is open, with long straight alignments, cold winters with frost and occasional snow, hot dry summers and wind. For road works this means long linear sites, a strong demand for aggregates and a short season for bituminous layers; for drilling it means a syncline whose aquifers supply most of the wells of the steppe. The company’s own quarry south of the city answers the aggregate question directly, and the Saharan Atlas nearby brings the rock cuts, embankments and gradients that road building in this region involves.
05Access
Access and logistics on the RN1
The depot is reached from the RN1, which links Algiers and the Tell to the north with Laghouat, Ghardaïa and the Sahara to the south; the quarry at Oued Sdeur lies off the same road south of the city, towards Aïn El Ibel. Heavy equipment leaves on semi-trailers along this axis, or across the plateaus on the roads towards M’Sila, Biskra, Tiaret and Bou Saâda. Sites on the High Plateaus and in the northern Sahara are generally within a day’s haul. Transport, duration and operators are agreed per project.
To visit, contact us first: we arrange a time at the depot or at the quarry, and can combine the visit with a meeting on your project.
