SARL ETAHG was established by notarial deed in Ghardaïa in 1997 and keeps its registered office at Cité 400 Logements, Sidi Abbaz, in Bounoura, in the M’zab valley. The “G” of ETAHG stands for Ghardaïa. This is where the company is administered, and the natural starting point for projects in the south of the country.

What is at the Ghardaïa office
The registered office handles the company’s administration, contracts, invoicing and the registry obligations of an Algerian SARL: commercial register, tax and social registrations. Meetings with project owners and partners are held here or at the Djelfa depot, depending on where the project is; documents for an approval or due-diligence file are prepared here.
Ghardaïa also anchors the company in the south. From the office, the machines based in Djelfa are dispatched to Saharan sites along the RN1, aggregates from the Oued Sdeur plant are organized for delivery, and water well drilling is arranged for sites, farms and communities in a region where water is a project in itself.

03Terrain
The northern Sahara around Ghardaïa
Ghardaïa lies in the M’zab valley at about 500 metres, cut into the hamada, the rocky plateau of the northern Sahara. The region combines stony plateaus, wadis that are dry for months and flood in hours, and sandy areas; rain is rare, summers are very hot and winter nights cold. Water comes from deep aquifers. Works here must be planned for self-sufficiency: fuel, spare parts, accommodation and water travel with the site, and aggregates are hauled from where the rock is. That is why mobilization, haulage from the company’s own plant and well drilling are the services most often asked of us in this region.

Access and logistics on the RN1
Bounoura is one of the communes of the Ghardaïa urban area, on the RN1 south of Laghouat and Djelfa. The same road continues south towards El Menia and the deep south, and other national roads lead east towards Ouargla and the oil regions and west towards El Bayadh. Ghardaïa is roughly 600 km from Algiers by road and about 200 km from Laghouat and from Ouargla. Equipment reaches Saharan sites from the Djelfa depot along the RN1; the office is the local point of contact for projects in the region, and transport and site terms are agreed per project.
